If your UKKO account access has been restricted, you’ll be notified by email. When you log in to our service, you’ll see a notice on your account homepage explaining the reasons for the restrictions and instructions for removing them.
When your account is restricted, you can’t add income or expenses or create invoices. But there’s no need to worry, restrictions can usually be removed easily:
Why has my account access been restricted, and how can I remove the restriction?
Here, we’ve listed the most common reasons why account usage may be restricted, along with instructions for resolving the issue:
1. Service fee is not paid
After 2 unpaid service fees, your account usage will be restricted. If this happens, you should check your payment details in your account and update your card info if needed. If your card is no longer working for some reason, you can also add a new card.
When all the service fees have been paid, you can continue using the service as usual. More information on service fees.
2. Suomi.fi authorization is not confirmed
Your account usage may also be restricted if we have not received your Suomi.fi authorization from you within deadline. We need this authorization to deal with your company's taxes for you.
To fix the problem, you should visit Suomi.fi and accept our request for authorization. After you have done this, you will be able to use the UKKO service as usual.
See here instructions to accept the authorization.
3. The service has been terminated
When giving a service termination notice, you choose the service end date. After that date, your account usage will be restricted, and you will no longer be able to add expenses or income in the service. If you still want to continue using the service, please contact our customer service.
If you would like to continue using the service after all, please contact our customer support team.
4. You have not responded to the Know Your Customer questionnaire by the deadline
UKKO.fi provides payment services, and therefore, we are obligated to request customer identification information (KYC questionnaire). Providers of payment services are considered obligated entities under the anti-money laundering law. They have a legal obligation to request information about the customer's activities, the nature and scope of the activities, and the financial position. You can learn more about the KYC questionnaire from the article.
5. Unconfirmed voucher periods
The UKKO Entrepreneur service uses monthly voucher confirmation. This means that receipts must be added to the service by the end of the 15th day of the following month, regardless of whether you are VAT-liable or what your VAT period is.
If there are unfinished transactions in your UKKO account when the voucher confirmation is due, the voucher period will not close automatically and your account usage will be restricted. You can remove the restriction by processing the unfinished transactions. After that, you can confirm the voucher period, and the account restriction will be removed.
You can read more about monthly accounting confirmation here.
