Add sales made through Timma to your UKKO account as income. Download the Timma Pay payout report and the sales report for the relevant month from Timma. Add both reports as attachments to the same income entry before entering the amounts.
Sales paid with Timma credits and sales paid in cash must be recorded as separate income vouchers.
How to add Timma reports for payouts
- Log in to Timma.
- Download the following reports for the relevant month:
- Timma Pay payout report
- Sales report for the relevant month
- If the payout also includes sales made at the end of the previous month, download the sales report for that month as well.
- Log in to your UKKO account and select Incomes → Add income.
- Add both types of reports as attachments to the income entry:
- Timma Pay payout report
- Sales report or reports for the month or months covered by the payouts
- Select Sales as the transaction type and enter the total sales amount. This should include the payouts you received, Timma’s commissions and the VAT on those commissions. The total sales amount must also include any deductions entered separately so that your turnover remains correct.
- Check the VAT rates for the sales in the sales report and enter them correctly. If the report includes sales subject to several VAT rates, enter the sales on separate lines.
- Add a description for the income, for example: Timma payout [month and year].
- Enter Timma’s charges as a deduction. Add together the commissions and the VAT on the commissions shown on the payout report.
- Check that:
- both reports cover the same month. If the payout also includes sales from the previous month, attach the sales report for that month as well;
- the income amount matches the total sales shown on the payout report;
- Timma’s commissions and the VAT on the commissions are included in the total sales amount;
- the sales have been entered using the correct VAT rates.
- Save the income entry and match it with the bank transaction or transactions related to the payout. In other words, mark the income as paid.
Example: Recording Timma sales based on payouts in your UKKO account
Timma pays out your sales once a week, but you can record the income in your UKKO account once a month.
In this example, we record the payouts received in September as one income for your limited company:
- Download the September payout report and the sales reports for August and September from Timma. Sales made at the end of August were included in the first payout received from Timma in September, on 7 September.
- Create a new income entry in your UKKO account and attach all three reports to it.
- Enter the total sales amounts shown on the payout report:
- Total payouts: €10,896.15
- Total Timma commissions: €106.51
- VAT on Timma’s commissions: €27.15
- Total sales: €11,029.81 including 25.5% VAT
All sales in this example were subject to 25.5% VAT.
- Enter Timma’s commissions and the VAT on the commissions as a deduction under Sales commission. The total deduction is €133.66.
After this, the income entry will look like this in your UKKO account:
- Mark the income as paid using all bank transactions related to the September payouts.
How do I record sales paid with Timma credits?
Timma credits refer to situations where a customer pays for your service using Timma credits. Record sales paid with Timma credits as a separate income entry.
- Download the Marketplace report from Timma.
- Check the amount of credits paid to your company’s account in the report. The amount is shown under Timma credits refunded during the period.
- Log in to your UKKO account and select Incomes → Add income.
- Add the Marketplace report as an attachment to the income entry.
- Select Sales as the transaction type.
- Select the VAT rate that applies to the service sale.
- Enter the amount shown under Timma credits refunded during the period as the income amount.
- Check the information and save the income entry.
- Match the corresponding bank transaction with the income entry or mark the income as paid.
Do not add Timma credits to the same income entry as a Timma Pay payout or the sales report for the month.
How do I record Timma sales that were paid in cash?
The Timma sales report shows the income received in cash. You can also check the VAT rates for cash payments in the report.
For clarity, create a separate income receipt for sales paid in cash:
- Download the sales report for the relevant month from Timma.
- Check the total amount of cash payments and the VAT rates used in the report.
- Log in to your UKKO account and select Incomes → Add income.
- Add the sales report for the relevant month as an attachment to the income receipt.
- Select Sales as the transaction type.
- Select the VAT rate that applies to the services sold.
- Enter the total amount of cash payments shown in the sales report as the income amount.
- Add a description, for example: Timma sales report for the period [date–date] / cash payments.
- Save the income entry and mark it as paid from the cash register.
For more information, see How to use a cash account in a limited company.
Please also note
- Add the Timma Pay payout report and the sales report for the month as attachments to the same income entry.
- Add the attachments before entering the income amounts.
- Record Timma credits as a separate income entry and attach the Marketplace report to it.
- Create a separate income receipt for Timma sales paid in cash.
- Make sure that the reports cover the same period.
- Do not record the same sale, Timma credit or cash payment more than once in the UKKO service.
- Keep the reports as accounting documents.
- If the information in the reports does not match, first check the reporting period and the payout details.
