UKKO Entrepreneur service prepares your limited company’s financial statements and annual business tax return. Your responsibility is to submit all receipts and requested information on time, and to review and sign the documents sent to you.
How the financial statement process works
1. Submit all receipts for the financial year
Add all income and expense transactions for the financial year monthly, previous month’s receipts by the 15th day of the following month. After the end of the financial year, also take into account any unpaid invoices, salaries, fees, and travel expenses attributable to the financial year.
2. Provide the information needed for the financial statements
As the end of your financial year approaches, you will receive a financial year-end checklist by email. Read the checklist carefully and provide all requested information by the end of the month following the end of your financial year.
We may ask you for information such as:
- bank balance confirmations
- information about loans, instalment agreements and leasing contracts
- an inventory list
- confirmation of the cash balance
- information about investments
- information about uncertain trade receivables and unclear trade payables
- information about unpaid salaries and other personnel expenses
- information about shareholder loans
- information about the company’s liabilities, securities and other commitments.
If a section does not apply to your company, indicate this as instructed. Do not leave the section blank.

3. UKKO prepares the financial statements
We prepare the financial statements based on the receipts and information you have submitted. If we need additional information, we will contact you.
Financial statements are processed in the order in which the required materials are received. For this reason, we are generally unable to promise an exact completion date for an individual customer. We will email you when your financial statements are ready or if we need additional information to prepare them.
4. Review and sign the financial statements on behalf of the board
Once the result for the financial year has been prepared, we will provide you with further information and the required minutes templates.
The board’s responsibility is to review and approve the financial statements. The members of the board and any managing director sign the financial statements. Minutes of the board meeting must be prepared and submitted to us as instructed.
5. Hold the annual general meeting
At the annual general meeting, the company usually decides on:
- approval of the financial statements
- the use of the profit or possible distribution of dividends
- granting discharge from liability to the members of the board and the managing director.
Minutes of the annual general meeting must be prepared and submitted to us as instructed.
6. Sign the documents electronically
Once the required minutes and information have been submitted, we will send the financial statements and other necessary documents to you for electronic signing.
Review the documents carefully and make sure that all required persons sign them by the given deadline.
Keep all signed financial statement documents for your records and retain them for the period required by law.
7. UKKO prepares the tax return
Once the financial statements have been signed and all required information is available, we will prepare your limited company’s business tax return and any related filings.
Important deadlines
- Submit the financial statement materials by the end of the month following the end of your financial year.
- Make sure that the board and general meeting minutes, as well as all electronic signatures, are completed within the requested timeframe.
If you do not submit the materials on time, preparation of the financial statements may be delayed. We may also charge a late submission fee in accordance with our price list. In this case, we may not be able to submit the financial statements by the deadline.
