The General Journal consists of all accepted entries to your accounting. Please note that it only has the accepted entries (income and expenses). Entries waiting for approval are not shown on the report..
First choose the Accounting period, or which year's general journal you want.
Then set the dates and Search within range of those dates for the accepted entries. You can for example set the dates to see all accepted entries of the current month or 6-month period etc.
Currently the General Journal is downloadable only in Finnish. Here are the translated terms and their meaning!
Päivämäärä or DATE is the date when the expense or income has been paid
Summa or SUM is the full monetary sum of the entry
Veroton summa or excl. VAT is the net amount of the entry (sum excluding VAT)
Alv or VAT is the amount of VAT in euros
Alv % or VAT % shows the percentage of VAT
Kirjanpitotili or ACCOUNT shows which account has the expense been recorded to. Private account on this column means the expense has been added to the bookkeeping but marked as a personal expense.
Debet is the accounting term for an expense.
Credit is the accounting term for income, which is added to the turnover
Alv-koodi or VAT code shows more information about the entry:
- KOS = domestic purchase (within Finland)
- KOT = domestic sales (within Finland)
- NUL = turnover excluding VAT (VAT 0%)
- PHV = purchase of services from other EU countries
- PME = sales of services to other EU countries
- ROM = sales of construction services or scrap metal
- ROO = purchase of construction services or scrap metal
- TME = sales of goods to other EU countries
- YHV = purchase of goods from other EU countries
Kuvaus or Description shows your description of the entry. Sometimes our financial team will add comments to the description.
